Within Heembloemex, Cees de Mooij is responsible for imports and Marcel Heemskerk for exports. After the acquisition of Greenflor, they will become part of Heembloemex group.

Founding HBX

HBX natural living is founded after increasing demand for decoration items. There is still a close cooperation between Greenflor and HBX natural living.

Seeking new markets further afield!

The line with Tunisia is taken up professionally with a partnership. Pistachio is an important product group. Takselect is created by demand for pistachio. Green is going well!

2009

Cash & carry Heembloemex import changes its name in Greenflor Rijnsburg 

Different names create confusion. With this new name, we ensure a uniform appearance towards the market.

2010

Season extension through range widening

Off-season, Greenflor has been looking for alternatives to further broaden its range. The expansion of the peony range in 2010 is a great step in that direction!

2011

Webshop professionalisation

Besides cash-and-carry, growth is reinforced by sales through the webshop. Customers can now also shop from a webshop offering a wide range of special flowers.

2012

Acquisition Jardin Hortence

The Jardin Hortence nursery in France exclusively supplies hydrangeas to Greenflor. Taking over the nursery guarantees this unique product group. And so these delicious hydrangeas find their way worldwide!

2013

Merging Heembloemex groep and Van der Plas groep

Van der Plas Groep merges with the Heembloemex group. Joining forces increases the purchasing power. As a result, the product range will be larger and more extensive.

2016

Roses from Ecuador find their way! 

We are adding this specialist product group to expand our range of roses. New Ecuador will be brought to the niche trade under Greenflor’s roof. This allows us to offer the most exclusive roses year-round.

2018

Acquisition H.J. De Mooij

Growth, growth, growth! H.J. de Mooij’s products are a perfect complement to Greenflor’s niche assortment. As a result, Greenflor is increasingly becoming a total supplier and the mentality of the new colleagues fits in well with ours.

Founding Masters in Dried Flower

Trends are important in our industry and we sense this unerringly. In 2019, for instance, we can already see that dried flowers are becoming a trend and we are fully responding to this. We are expanding our range with a wide range of premium dried flowers and establishing the Dutch Masters in Dried Flowers brand.

Acquisition G.J. de Ruijter

Greenflor is increasingly becoming a one-stop shop as a result of the acquisitions. Customers can choose from niche products that make Greenflor unique, but also important basic products that allow the customer to buy a total package. This ensures that Greenflor has become a total supplier!

Greenflor likes to keep growing. We also have daily ambitions to become even bigger and better in the future. This is how Greenflor continues to surprise worldwide!
